    Instructions:

  1. Purse: Cut two pieces satin 10" x 20 1/2" and fuse Pellon Interfacing to wrong side.

  2. Cut 20" Iridescent Ruffle Lace and run gathering stitch just below binding. Gather lace, fold back lace ends and pin evenly in place to right side along top edge of rectangle. Stitch to hold 3/8" away from edge with ruf- fled lace facing inward. Remove lace binding.

  3. To form purse flap- mark dot on each side 6" down from top of rectangle. With right sides together, using 1/2" seam allowance, stitch second rectangle to first starting at 6" dot, continuing around top and down to second 6" dot. Be sure to keep sides of Ruffled Lace out of seam allowance. Sew 1/2" seam across bottom.

  4. Clip to but not through mark on side seam. Trim seam allowance, clip corners and press seams flat. Turn purse right side out.

  5. Fold bottom edge up to meet clipped edge. With 1/2" seam allowance, sew side seams together. Finish seam by serging or zigzagging raw edges. Turn purse right side out.

  6. Decoration: Beginning at center of purse flap, snake and loop pearls along bottom edge. Position with center loop hanging below flap edge and side loops pointed toward corner. Glue/sew in place.

  7. Cut 12" Irid. Ruffled Lace. Fold back wire end 1/2" and feed smooth end through lace binding, gather tightly, twist wire ends to hold, clip excess wire ends. Glue lace edges to close. Repeat for 2 more rosettes.

  8. Cut 8" of 1/8" satin ribbon and 3" Pearls. Form 2 loop bow and wire pearls in center. Glue to center of rosette. Glue ribbon rose to center of bow. Repeat for two more rosettes.

  9. Glue rosettes to purse flap in slight "V" position with center rosette lower than side rosettes.

  10. Attach Velcro tab closure to inside purse flap and to purse front.
